Two methods of absolute dating are:

By comparing the ratio of carbon-14 to carbon-12 in a sample to the known ratio in living organisms, scientists can estimate its age.
  2. Luminescence Dating: This technique determines the last time a material was exposed to sunlight or heated. It measures the accumulation of trapped electrons in minerals like quartz or feldspar. When these minerals are exposed to light or heat, the trapped electrons are released. Measuring the amount of released energy helps estimate the time since the material was last exposed to sunlight or heat.

Both radiocarbon dating and luminescence dating offer valuable insights into the chronological timelines of archaeological finds, providing more precise dating compared to relative dating methods.
